Field prep days

West Seattle Little League needs all families to help get our fields ready for the first pitch! WSLL is 100% volunteer run and field maintenance is a key area we need your help!

The fields have not been used since the 2019 season. To get us ready for practices and games, we need help with the following at Bar-S:
- Lip mitigation between infield/outfield
- Weeding
- Bleacher reno
- Infield dirt/raking
- Pitchers mound rebuild

Grab your masks, rakes, weed pullers, gloves and old clothes! WSLL will not have gloves on hand to borrow. Volunteers with trucks also appreciated as we move some of the dirt. For the final push on Sat the 27th, bring wheelbarrows and weed whackers as well!

Parents, players, family and friends are all encouraged to help.

Even if you're only available for an hour, we still need that hour of your time.

Field Prep Days
Saturday, March 20th (We're on rain or shine, need to move compost)
9:00am - 12:00pm

Monday, March 22nd - Friday, March 26th (Wed, 3/24 canceled due to rain)
5:00pm - 7:00pm

Saturday, March 27th (This is our LAST final field work party to move dirt to the infields)
9:00am - 3:00pm

Field Maintenance Clinic
At least 1 volunteer from each team is required to help prep fields pre- and post-game. Join Andrew, WSLL's Director of Fields, to learn how to maintain the fields. Training includes chalking, dragging the field before and after game, covering the mound and home plate and more.
